Iran Through The lens Of Vedic Astrology(A National Horoscope Analysis)

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has once again brought Iran into the global spotlight.

Iran lies along the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route through which a significant portion of the world’s oil trade passes. Any instability in this region can influence International Crude oil prices and have far-reaching effects on the global economy.

In this article, we will try to explore Iran’s future through the lens of Vedic Astrology.

D.O.B of Horoscope of Islamic Republic Of Iran – 1 April 1979, 3:00 P.M Tehran.

Let us analyse some main points on the chart.

Leo Ascendant: It shows a strong sense of pride, sovereignty, national identity and central authority,

Saturn(retrograde)+Rahu in Ascendant: Saturn generally represents the masses, working class, labour and restriction, while Rahu represents mass movements, unorthodox elements and sudden uprisings.

Impact: The country experiences persistent internal tension between authority/order (Saturn) and radical challenge (Rahu). It also shows a long period of sanctions, restrictions and international isolation. Rahu here can give a high degree of nationalism or ideological zeal on the global stage.

Ketu+Venus in 7th house: From the 7th house, we see alliances, treaties, etc. Venus sees diplomatic relations, trade treaties and peace, and Ketu acts as a factor of detachment, sudden breakups or hidden unconventional diplomatic ties.

Impact: Detachment or Disillusionment in alliances, agreements that donot fully satisfy.

The Sun, Mercury and Mars stellium in 8th house :

8th house signifies crisis, transformation, hidden affairs, intelligence operations, wars, sudden events, national upheavals, etc.

Placement of Ascendant lord  Sun here shows the nation undergoes repeated periods of political tension and people suffer a lot. Leadership may face frequent internal or external challenges.

8th house also sees rebirth, so suggesting the ability to recover after major disruptions.

2nd and 11th Lord Mercury debilitated here in 8th house: 2nd house rules National treasure, Banks, Foreign Exchanges, Currency. 11th house represents National Income, Exports, Trade, Economic gains. When the 2nd and 11th lords, Mercury, sit here, it shows Severe currency fluctuations, Trade blockades, inflation, and unexpected banking/financial crises. Gains come through high-risk avenues or sudden geopolitical shifts.

8th house shows hidden transactions, so Iran’s economy heavily relies on unrecorded or secret revenue streams.

4th and 9th lord Mars here : 4th lord Mars shows Domestic instability. Mars, the planet of defence and internal order, being combust here, shows hidden underground military assets and expenditure.

It also shows Military struggle; we can see Iran’s Military assets and generals face continuous challenges from the US and allies.

Moon Exalted in 10th: This is this chart’s strongest assets.- Public emotional resonance with the state, administrative stability and a resilient public image even while other houses are under pressure.

Jupiter Exalted in 12th House: The 12th house is a house of loss, foreign lands, isolation, expenses – An exalted benefic here suggests expansion through what looks like a loss.

Current Dasha: Jupiter Mahadasha and Rahu Antar Dasha up to 9/6/2027.

Jupiter Dasha started in 2013; Iran faced and is still facing heavy expenses rather than income, a financial crisis, and Rahu’s Antara can intensify conflicts. Rahu is with Saturn, so it can bring heavy damage to people as well as heavy sanctions and isolation.

Also, in the present transit, Saturn transiting the natal Sun in the 8th is causing more damage. A change can come after July 2027.

In Saturn’s  M.D which is next, Iran can face a serious leadership crisis, or the formation of some new alliances can be possible, but Iran will fight till the end.

Conclusion :

The world is changing faster than ever. Many of today's events would have seemed unimaginable just a few years ago, and the future may hold events that are equally unexpected. Vedic astrology offers insights into the trends of time, but only time ultimately reveals how destiny unfolds.
